- Congratulations to the 2021-22 Gwinnett County Public Schools teacher of the year, Lee Allen Of Archer HS! Jamie Garcia Caycho, a 1st grade teacher at Arcado ES, is this year's Elementary School Teacher of the Year. Taniesha Pooser, who teaches orchestra at Berkmar MS, is the system's TOTY at the middle school level. (Press Release Desk )
- Come on out and have cookies and cocoa with Santa this Saturday in the Duluth Town Green! Arts and crafts are available for the kids, and children can bring their letters to Santa to take back to the North Pole. (Gwinnettdailypost.com)
- Two drivers who were involved in a fatal hit-and-run are currently being sought out by Gwinnett police after a pedestrian crash. The pedestrian was killed Friday night when he was hit by two separate cars while walking across a busy road. Both drivers fled the scene and Gwinnett police are asking for help finding them. - Gwinnett County is going to offer $100 gift cards for residents who receive COVID-19 vaccines this weekend. The gift cards are available while supplies last this weekend at the Finish Strong Together Drive. ( The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
- An 11-year-old Gwinnett County boy is on a mission to keep other kids warm this winter by collecting 'warm winter items' to give to donate to others in need. He does that by collecting warm winter items and then giving them to local schools and children in foster care. (WSB Atlanta)
