• Over dozen Georgia hospitals to receive funds to avoid closing, keep staff (wsbtv.com) — Dodge County Hospital in Eastman is among several rural Georgia hospitals receiving new federal grants aimed at preventing closures and keeping doctors and nurses on staff. The funding, about $187,500 per hospital, comes through a rural assistance program championed by Sen. Jon Ossoff and is intended to preserve emergency and other critical medical services in small communities.
