• Dalton State Awarded $500,000 Grant To Support Regional Nursing Workforce Needs (chattanoogan.com) — Dalton State College just landed a $500,000 state grant that will help expand and upgrade its nursing programs, including those at the Mountain Campus in Ellijay. New simulation technology, ventilator training systems, and added capacity aim to graduate more nurses who largely stay in northwest Georgia, strengthening care at local hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities that Ellijay residents rely on.
