• GNTC Foundation awards 48 scholarships to high school graduates (coosavalleynews.com) — Several Chatsworth seniors from Murray County and North Murray high schools have earned Georgia Northwestern Technical College Foundation scholarships, bringing real tuition help to local graduates. In all, 48 scholarships worth over $37,000 went to northwest Georgia students, highlighting strong support for workforce training and college pathways in our region.

• County school board approves purchases, project contracts (daltoncitizen.com) — A Chatsworth company, Fashion Decorating, has been hired to handle a $38,200 painting project at Dug Gap Elementary, with work stretching through school breaks into 2027. Whitfield County’s school board also approved new bus engines, cafeteria upgrades at Varnell Elementary, and multiple therapy and nursing service contracts to support students’ Individualized Education Programs.

• Four Mustangs tabbed NJCAA All-Americans (clarionnews.org) — Chatsworth softball standout Addie Edwards just capped a perfect 34-0 freshman season at Northeast Alabama Community College and earned NJCAA Division I First-Team All-American honors. She led the nation in wins and ERA while helping her team win a national title, joining three teammates recognized as All-Americans for their dominant year.
