Hall County deputies say they recovered 11.8 grams of suspected fentanyl and drug paraphernalia from the bathroom, leading to his arrest after hospital release.
3. Trash Talk With UNG Students (ungvanguard.org) — UNG students on the Gainesville campus say recycling would be easier if bins were placed next to trash cans and labeled more clearly. Faculty and student leaders stress that simple daily choices—like sorting bottles, cans, and cardboard—can significantly cut waste and protect natural resources, especially plastics, from ending up in landfills and the environment.
4. Cities with the fastest-growing home prices in the Gainesville, Georgia metro area (times-georgian.com) — Home values across the Gainesville metro, including Gainesville itself, Flowery Branch, Oakwood, and other nearby towns, have mostly dipped slightly over the past year while remaining far above five-year-ago levels. The data shows Gainesville's typical home value is just over $371,000, giving residents a clear snapshot of how local prices compare across neighboring communities.
