Theatre (ung.edu) — Students in Gainesville can train with the Gainesville Theatre Alliance, a collaboration between the University of North Georgia and Brenau University that offers intensive studio work and hands-on productions. The program emphasizes professional-level stage and screen experience, guest artist collaborations, and theatre for young audiences that reaches children and families across North Georgia each season.

Gville man passes out in restroom, ends up in the hospital… then jail (wgtjradio.com) — A Gainesville man found unconscious in a RaceTrac restroom on Kubota Way was revived by employees and taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville for an apparent overdose before being jailed on fentanyl trafficking charges. Hall County deputies say they recovered 11.8 grams of suspected fentanyl and drug paraphernalia from the bathroom, leading to his arrest after hospital release.
   

3. Trash Talk With UNG Students (ungvanguard.org) — UNG students on the Gainesville campus say recycling would be easier if bins were placed next to trash cans and labeled more clearly. Faculty and student leaders stress that simple daily choices—like sorting bottles, cans, and cardboard—can significantly cut waste and protect natural resources, especially plastics, from ending up in landfills and the environment.

Cities with the fastest-growing home prices in the Gainesville, Georgia metro area (times-georgian.com) — Home values across the Gainesville metro, including Gainesville itself, Flowery Branch, Oakwood, and other nearby towns, have mostly dipped slightly over the past year while remaining far above five-year-ago levels. The data shows Gainesville's typical home value is just over $371,000, giving residents a clear snapshot of how local prices compare across neighboring communities.
