Join us Thursday July 23 at 6pm for the opening reception of our newest exhibit: Sew Relieved! The exhibit explores the significance of the WPA era, focusing on the Sewing Rooms established in Hapeville. There will be a ‘fireside chat’ at 7pm to learn about the inspiration and process for crafting this unique exhibit with Dr. Anuli Akanegbu and K. Gilbert.
6pm-9pm: Exhibition Opening
7pm: Discussion with Dr. Anuli Akanegbu and K. Gilbert.

Hapeville Depot

Join us on Saturday, July 25th from 1-3pm a history presentation and art workshop where we will learn about the residents of Hapeville and their mission to restore the historic depot and design a local history museum. 
During this workshop you will craft your very own depot structure while Historian, Kerum Kendall, dives into the fascinating history of America’s 200th birthday celebration in 1976. Participants will learn about how to use found objects to create their own assemblages inspired by artists like Beverly Buchanan. 
This workshop is free to the public. Seating is limited.
 The museum will have supplies on hand but we encourage you to bring your own found objects.This is a free presentation with no registration required.
There is free parking on site on each side of the depot and there is also street parking.
We are also accessible by Marta bus routes - 79, 96, 192, 193

Recurring every second Saturday of the month through September, the event will take place at Jess Lucas Y-Teen Park from 8:30 a.m.–12 p.m. The show will feature the rarest classic cars and bikes from the Atlanta area, and those with a vehicle may enter a raffle for the chance to win amazing prizes! Admission is free, with food and coffee available on a first come first serve basis, so be sure to arrive early.
