AVON – Then and NOW.

I’ve just become an Avon Representative for the 2nd time in my life.   The first time was 22 years ago.   I remember how a neighbor gave me a sample fragrance, called Imari.  I thought it smelled great, but when I started getting compliments on it every time I wore it, I knew it was for me.   So back then I became a rep primarily to get the discounts for the products I bought for myself.   It was the early ‘90s, and I had to drive about a mile to drop off my manually-written orders every 2 weeks.   After the products were delivered, I contacted my customers and scheduled a time to drop off their products and collect payments.  This became a duty that was hard to maintain with a full-time job, so I stopped.

A few weeks ago someone in my neighborhood asked if anyone in our community sold AVON.  They needed to re-order some AVON products they liked.   When no one else spoke up, I thought “Here’s a great way that I can help others and possibly earn some extra money for Christmas.”  So, I signed up under a local sales manager who lives in Roswell.   She’s been an AVON rep for 17 years.      

I can’t believe how easy it is to be an AVON representative in today’s world!   With computers, everything is online and much easier to order and share with friends and family.   I shared my online website (www.youravon.com/bridgemill) with friends and family in other cities.   They order what they need and the products are shipped directly to their home.   I still offer the printed Avon catalog to local neighbors and friends.    

Why do I like AVON so much?   Well, if you’ve ever tried Avon products, you know about their quality and value.  They still offer my favorite fragrance, Imari and other classics, but there are many new fragrances as well.   Avon’s Anew anti-aging creams and Skin-So-Soft products are highly rated.    Avon also offers designer jewelry, clothing, and great gifts for men, women, and children.    There’s something for everyone on your gift list.    I wish I had done this sooner!
