Charter Students STRIVE for Leadership

Student leaders from Cherokee Charter Academy were excited to be a part of a STRIVE Leadership Conference on the school’s Canton campus. 

They were joined by students from CCA’s sister school, Coweta Charter Academy in Senoia. 

The STRIVE program (Students Taking Responsibility for Important Values of Excellence) is the cornerstone of the character education curriculum at both schools.

David Alba, Executive Director of the Clarion Council which created the STRIVE program; helped students further develop leadership & teamwork skills through small group discussions and inspirational videos including one that explored the issue of bullying.  

Cherokee Charter Academy, a tuition-free public charter school, is accepting applications for the 2013-2014 school year (cherokeecharter.org).
