Justice for Victims of Terror : What Happens Next
"Only time will tell what will happen next after the downfall of Bin Laden. As of now the country should remain humble among this claimed victory."

A crowd gathered in front of the white house last night over the announcement that Osama bin Laden was killed.
News organizations and political leaders across the country were contacted with more details and information as the story unfolded right before our eyes.
As I listened to the radio and the news this morning, people everywhere are overwhelmed with mixed emotions. Some people were speechless; others felt as though they had closure. I am relieved that the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attack received some closure but one matter still concerns me.

I actually have mixed feelings about what happened or shall I say what will happen next. Although many people applauded the message that the United States sent, only one could think what is next for the al Qaeda organization?
Apparently others share the same concern as I do. After researching various blogs and other new websites I find a helpful article on CNN. The article raises the question is the United States safer today before the 9/11 attacks? Apparently some experts believe it is. However, they believe the country should proceed with caution and keep their guard up.

The biggest threat now is home based terrorism such as the 2009 slaying of 10 people in Fort Hood by the hand of Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Hasan. Let’s not forget the recent 2011 event in Arizona killing six people and wounding 13 others by our very American citizen.
In those cases, the accusers have been incarcerated and justice has been served. With the death of the most wanted terrorist in the world who is next in line to lead the Taliban? As I continued to read the article CNN national security contributor and homeland security advisor under President George W. Bush, Frances Fragos Townsend states, “While nothing is perfect, the United States has closed many of its vulnerabilities,” she continues, “Even something as simple as buying large amounts of fertilizer now raises red flags, making it much more difficult for would-be terrorists. In addition, law enforcement and surveillance authorities are more aggressive and able to uncover plots much earlier.”
With that being stated, I have to agree that National Security has been more aggressive. Only time will tell what will happen next after the downfall of Bin Laden. As of now the country should remain humble among this claimed victory.
