Relay the News: Barracudas Batter the Waves

The Barracudas are 2-0 in the county's Red League.

At the Wyngate subdivision in Towne Lake, the visiting Bradshaw Farm Barracuda swimmers defeated the Wyngate Waves, 552-392.

The Barracudas’ big advantage was in relay races (medley and freestyle); winning 20 of 22 relay events.

Swimmers of the meet for the Barracudas:

Kamryn Carter (Girls 13-14) – she won 50 Yard Freestyle, 50 Yard Breast Stroke & 100 Yard IM

Sophie Roy (Girls 13-14) – winner of 100 Yard Freestyle, 50 Yard Backstroke & 50 Yard Butterfly

Michael Minozzi (Boys 11-12) – he won 100 Yard Freestyle, 50 Yard Breast Stroke & 50 Yard Back Stroke

Emma Gelatt (Girls 9-10) – first place in 50 Yard Freestyle, 100 Yard IM & 25 Yard Back Stroke

Luke Roness (Boys 9-10) – tops in 50 Yard Freestyle, 100 Yard IM & 25 Yard Back Stroke

Laurel Blase (Girls 7-8) – best in 100 Yard IM, 25 Yard Back Stroke & 25 Yard Butterfly

The top swimmers for the Waves:

Finley Billings (Girls 15-18) – first in 100 Yard Freestyle, 100 Yard IM & 50 Yard Butterfly

Dylan Villhauer (Boys 15-18) – he won 50 Yard Freestyle, 100 Yard IM & 50 Yard Butterfly
