Cagle's Farm Matriarch Dies
Bernese Cagle, 72, of Hickory Flat lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday.
Cagle and her husband ran on Stringer Road in Hickory Flat. She was involved in the Cherokee County Historical Society from its inception in 1975, according to the Marietta Daily Journal.
An email from the Cherokee County Republican Party on Thursday noted that Cagle had also been an active member of the party.
The memorial service is today at 3 p.m. at in Hickory Flat with the Rev. Horace Richards officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to the Cherokee County Historical Society.
