Students at Cherokee County's only public charter school are striving to help those in need this holiday season. Cherokee Charter Academy's Beta Club teamed up with CCA's STRIVE program (StudentsΒ TakingΒ Responsibility forΒ ImportantΒ Values ofΒ Excellence) to collect money and non-perishable food items for Papa's Pantry. STRIVE tenet #58 is "Volunteer to Help!" More than 12-hundred food items and $416 were donated!Β Β 9th Grade students also collected hats, scarves and gloves for the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women & Children.
