Children's Theater Group Practices For Upcoming Performances

Holly Springs Patch is introducing a new feature that shows off groups and activities in the area. If your church, school, summer camp or sports team has a fun event and you would like us to feature the wonderful group of kids involved, let us know!

Starting off are a group of more than 60 kids who volunteered to be a part of a theater group. These students go to school and when they leave their regular day, they head on over to Cross Roads school for more education. This time, however, it is in the fine art of theater.

The Academy Street Theater Group is a Cherokee County School District arts education program. Children from 23 schools within the district are participating in the program. They auditioned and committed themselves to four to eight weeks of rehearsal and education in the on and off stage process of the production. 

Seen here, the students from elementary through high school are rehearsing for the performances of the Secret Garden that will take place June 8 through June 11 at The show will be each evening at 7:30 pm.
