The "Chardonnay Queen" and I are heading for our little cottage by the sea, in Matlacha, FL, for a couple of weeks, so there will be no Norm's Tasting Notes for the next few weeks, but on our return I will post the results of our fishing, seafood, and wine events.               NORM’S BIO

Born in Napa California ( a fourth generation native born Californian)

Raised in Columbus, Ga. by my mother's family whose roots go back to 1828 in the Columbus area.

Joined  first wine club in Atlanta, GA at age 21.

Became engaged in the wine business in 1982.

 Judged  numerous times at the Atlanta International Wine Festival.

 Have been owner or part owner of two wine shops in the Atlanta area.

 Also Wine manager for the biggest wine store in Atlanta for several years.

 I have conducted numerous private and public wine tastings, and have been writing a weekly column, "Norm's Tasting Notes", for about seven years.

My wife and I own a small cottage in the heart of Matlacha, FL, It was built by her grandfather in 1946.

Next to wine, my big passion is for fishing for fresh water bass, and salt water trout.
