Holly Springs Recognized For Financial Reporting 'Excellence'

The city recently received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.

The city of Holly Springs has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association for its 2013 comprehensive annual financial report.

City Manager Rob Logan, who also serves as Holly Springs’ finance director,Β was presented with the award.

β€œThe Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management,” GFOA notes. β€œThe CAFR has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program including demonstrating a constructive spirit of full disclosure to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users or user groups to read the CAFR.”
