Local Gymnasts Win State Titles

The National Gymnastics Center in Holly Springs sent their first Prep-Optional 2 team to the state gymnastics meet in Roswell at the first of the month.

The seven girls who competed brought home the third place trophy. Three girls had their personal best all-around scores.

Other awards included:

Emme Roberts (age 8 and under), placed first All-Around and on balance beam, and second on floor exercise, vault, and uneven bars.

Emma Ryals (age 9 to 10), placed third on floor exercise.

Sam Konop (age 9 to 10), placed first on vault.

Catherine Jones (age 11 to 12), placed second on uneven bars.

Katie Shortell (age 11 to 12), placed first All-Around and on balance beam, and second on vault.

Taylor Ryals (age 15 and up), placed second All-Around and on floor exercise.
