New Curriculum Resource Teacher Brings Diverse Educational Background to Cherokee Charter

Cherokee Charter is the county's only public charter school, serving students in grades K through eight. Enrollment for 2016-17 is underway.

Cherokee Charter Academy is proud to announce Angie Parker has joined the school’s faculty as its new Curriculum Resource Teacher. Ms. Parker has a multifaceted educational background that includes an undergraduate degree in Education from Kennesaw State University, Master’s in Health Science & Promotion from the University of Alabama and Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership & Administration from Lincoln Memorial University. She’s been a teacher for Cherokee County schools and in Pickens County where she also served as an assistant principal and principal. Ms. Parker has also been a “bedside teacher” in the dialysis unit at Egleston Hospital and served as Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Manager of School Programs for the state of Georgia.
