Operation Zero Tolerance Targets Impaired Drivers in Holly Springs
Holly Springs police on Dec. 31 will join the Governor's Office of Highway Safety to step up patrols in its city limits.

On Dec. 31, the Holly Springs Police Department’s Special Operations Unit will work in conjunction with Governor’s Office of Highway Safety to enforce all traffic laws on the roadways in its jurisdiction.
Operation Zero Tolerance, will include saturated patrols of neighborhoods, with a focused concentration on unsafe or impaired drivers, the police department said in a press release.
The program is part of a statewide initiative to enforce impaired driving laws and to reduce the amount of alcohol and drug-related crashes and fatalities.

At the local level, the program is designed to “ensure the safety of the motorists that are traveling through the city,” Holly Springs police said.
