Eighth Grade students at Cherokee Charter Academy in Canton got a valuable lesson in electrical energy right from the source – Georgia Power. Representatives from the utility came to the CCA campus to lead students in an electrical workshop full of hands-on activities. Students spun a generator and shook a flashlight to produce their own electricity. Along the way, they learned more about natural resources including fuels with potential & kinetic energy. Looking to the future, participants got information about potential careers in the energy sector.
