Rollover Accident On Sixes Road, One Injured: Fire Department
Firefighters had to stabilize the Honda SUV while they cut the roof off, allowing access to the driver, who suffered a head injury.
HOLLY SPRINGS, GA — One woman was injured Thursday in a vehicle rollover accident on the northbound ramp of Sixes Road at I-575, according to a press release from the Cherokee County Fire Department.
The Honda SUV she was driving flipped several times, the press release said. The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Fire and rescue responders arrived with the "jaws of life" to remove the roof from the SUV so they could reach the driver.
The SUV was on its side when responders arrived, meaning they had to stabilize it with jacks while they cut the roof off. Paramedics reported the driver was experiencing altered states of consciousness. She suffered cuts and bruises on her head.

Luckily, she was conscious and alert as she was taken to Marietta's Kennestone Hospital.
Another vehicle was involved in the accident, the press release says, and was damaged considerably on the driver's side, but nobody else was injured.

The cause of the accident is being investigated by the Holly Springs Police Department.
