School Comes Together for Special Veterans Day Tribute
For Cherokee Charter Academy, Veterans Day began before dawn.
Veterans Day started before sunrise at Cherokee Charter Academy with staff & families working to display hundreds of individual tributes to veterans on the school’s Canton campus.
CCA Principal Dr. Scott O’Prey said, “I asked our families to create a poster to honor a family member, friend, or historical figure for Veterans Day. This morning students, parents, and staff created a visual display of these posters to honor and recognize these heroes for their service and sacrifice. It is crucial that our young students learn how important service to your nation is to keeping our American way of life. “
