Sequoyah High School's Automotive program students earned a National ranking in recent competition.

Sequoyah High Schoolβs Automotive program students earned a National ranking in recent competition!
The students competed in the Summit Motorama at Atlanta Motor Speedway, which involves deconstructing a V-8 engine and reassembling it to the manufacturerβs specifications. The team is competitively timed on how quickly they disassemble and reassemble the engine in its entirety. They are timed for accuracy, and penalties are added in the form of extra time.
In only their second competition, they earned a time that ranks them 32nd in the Nation!

βThey have been working very hard to improve their time and errors, and it shows in their competition rankings,β said automobile maintenance and light repair teacher Chuck Wilson, who coaches the team.
