Splitsville in Creekview

Since the Alexander Cougars qualified for the GHSA AAAA state baseball tournament as the No. 3 seed from Region 5-AAAA, they had to make the trek from Douglas County to Canton to play the Creekview Grizzlies.

After the teams split games of a doubleheader on Friday, the Cougars will have to visit one more time on Saturday to settle the best-of-three series to see who moves into the second round.

Alexander won the first game, 10-6, but Creekview stayed alive by winning the second, 12-6.

The first pitch in Saturday's game will be at 1 p.m.
