At Cherokee Charter Academy, the goal is to develop not just good students, but also good citizens. The school strives to do this through it character education curriculum, called STRIVE (Students Taking Responsibility for Important Values of Excellence).
The STRIVE focus for September was on Cooperation, Patriotism, Respect-for-Authority and Self-Control. The STRIVE Hero for the month was U.S. President and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Jimmy Carter.
