Sweet Spell of Success

Two Cherokee Charter Academy students are spelling their way to stardom.

Fifth grader Andrew Tweet and sixth grader Alex Dagraca are preparing for Charter Schools USA’s national spelling bee on March 5th.   Andrew is competing in the Grades 3-5 division, Alex in the Grades 6-8 division.

Both boys were runners-up in the CSUSA regional spelling bee held at Cherokee Charter in late January.  Charter schools from Georgia and North Carolina were represented.  That competition was staged via Skype video conference, so will the national spelling bee.   A panel of judges at each location insures the integrity of the competition.
