What's Closed on Labor Day?
Patch has compiled a list of closings in observance of Labor Day, which falls on Monday, Sept. 2.

All federal, state and local government offices as well as banks will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2, inΒ observance of Labor Day.
The offices for theΒ cities ofΒ Woodstock,Β Canton,Β Holly Springs,Β Waleska,Β Ball GroundΒ and theΒ Cherokee County governmentΒ will be closed for the holiday.Β
Canton and Woodstock residents who utilizeΒ Waste ManagementΒ for residential waste disposal services should know the company will not pick up trash on Monday. Services will resume on Tuesday and will run one day behind through the rest of the week.Β
Additionally, the Holly Springs City CouncilΒ has rescheduled its work session for Thursday, Sept. 2, at 7 p.m.
TheΒ Cherokee County Tax Commissioners' offices will also be closed on Monday for the holiday as well as the five Cherokee branches of theΒ SequoyahΒ Regional Library System.
TheΒ Cherokee Area Transportation SystemΒ buses will also not run on Monday.Β

Cherokee County School DistrictΒ offices and schools will be closed, as well as classes and offices at Cherokee Charter Academy,Β Reinhardt UniversityΒ andΒ Chattahoochee Technical College.Β
United States Post OfficesΒ will also be closed on Monday and mail will not be delivered.

Cherokee County's twoΒ recycling centersΒ will also be closed on Monday, which is part of their normal schedule.
City and county offices, schools, banks and all post offices will resume regular operating hours on Tuesday and regular mail delivery will resume on that day.
