Acclaimed Violinist To Perform With Johns Creek Chamber Orchestra

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- Acclaimed violinist, Mr. William Pu, will be performing Czardas by composer Vittorio Monti with the Johns Creek High School Chamber orchestra at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15. This will be a preview concert prior to their departure to attend the prestigious Midwest Clinic Conference for International Band and Orchestra in Chicago.

Under the baton of Mr. Young K. Kim, Director of Orchestras for Johns Creek High School, these talented high school students along with Mr. Pu, will be traveling to attend this annual event. For more than 70 years musicians, educators, and people passionate about music education of all skill levels have gathered in Chicago for the largest music conference of its kind.

This year, the Midwest Conference is expecting more than 17,000 attendees from all 50 states, and more than 30 countries. The JCHS Midwest Preview Concert will be an excellent opportunity for area students and the general public to attend a very special performance, which will also include an impressive lineup of area conductors who will be participating.

Mr. William Pu, owner of William Pu Music Academy, is an internationally renowned violinist who has had tenure as both the Associate Concertmaster for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, as well as Assistant Concertmaster for the Houston Symphony.

His performances have taken him world-wide, where he is revered for his expertise and musical mastery, and has also garnered various distinguished awards and accolades. In 2014, Mr. Pu along with his wife, Amy Chang, founded William Pu Music Academy located in Alpharetta, Georgia. It was due to his love of music and deep commitment to provide educational opportunities for young musicians that he felt the need to establish this academy. To date, the William Pu Music Academy continues to experience significant growth and instructional/performance success. His faculty represents some of the finest musicians in all of the Atlanta Metro.

The Preview Concert is this Friday, December 15^th at 7:00pm, in the theater at Johns Creek High School. They are located at 5575 State Bridge Road, Johns Creek, GA 30022. Admission is FREE.
