Active Shooter Seminar Set For March 20 In Johns Creek

JOHN CREEK, GA — The Johns Creek Police Department on Tuesday will host the second of three Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events for the public. The department's session will be held at 7 p.m. March 20 at Perimeter Church.

The police department's CRASE instructors will teach the Avoid, Deny and Defend themes outlined in the course developed by the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Responses Training at Texas State University (For more news like this, find your local Patch here. Johns Creek will also bring the course to teachers and staff working at schools within the city limits. That event, scheduled for 7 p.m. March 20 at Johns Creek High School, will focus on active shooter events that occur within school walls.
