Chick-fil-A Offering Healthy Meals for Kids

New meals feature grilled chicken, applesauce and healthier drink options.

Johns Creek-area Chick-fil-A restaurants, including the State Bridge Road location, now have a healthier children’s menu.

Grilled chicken nuggets are now being offered as an alternative to regular chicken nuggets. According to a Chick-fil-A press release, the move marks the first time a national fast food chain has offered a grilled entrée as part of a children’s menu.

The new menu also includes Buddy Fruits Pure Blended Fruit To Go applesauce. The squeezable fruit pouch is gluten free and contains 100 percent fruit juice. Each serving contains 60 calories and zero grams of fat.  Hi-C has been removed from the menu and the restaurant chain will now promote 1 percent milk, 100 percent apple juice, fresh-squeezed lemonade or bottled water as drink choices.
