Chris Coughlin To Run For Johns Creek City Council
Coughlin briefly served on the City Council in 2015.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- A familiar face around Johns Creek is once again seeking a chance to enter public service.
Chris Coughlin has announced his bid to run in the special election to fill the Post 4 seat on the City Council. The seat was vacated last week when Bob Gray resigned to formally enter the race to fill Georgia's 6th Congressional seat.
City officials have yet to nail down the qualifying period or when the special election will take place. Coughlin said whenever that date rolls around, "I'll be ready."

He briefly served on the City Council in 2015, as he won a special election to serve out the unexpired term of Brad Raffensperger, who was elected to the State House of Representatives.
"Since my campaign in 2015 and brief term on council..., I’ve been continuously working on the issues that face our community," he said. "We need someone on (the) council with fiscal responsibility, government efficiency and resolving traffic congestion as top priorities."
