Contest Asks Students What Makes Johns Creek Exceptional
The city is hosting an essay contest for students in grades 6-8 attending Johns Creek area schools.
JOHNS CREEK, GA -- The city of Johns Creek wants to know what middle school students believe makes the city exceptional.
Students in grades 6-8 attending Johns Creek area schools are invited to submit a one-page essay sharing what they believe makes Johns Creek exceptional.
In 2015, Johns Creek adopted the tag line “Be the Exception” to recognize the attributes that make our city exceptional.

Our schools, police and fire departments, our growing parks, and the people who make up our diverse community are just a few examples.
Essays must be the original work of students. Three winners will be chosen, one from each grade, and each winner will be formally announced at the city’s 10-year anniversary celebration. That event will be held Nov. 5 at Johns Creek High School.
