Couple 'Swindled' $15K From Elderly Man With Dementia: Cops

The Johns Creek Police Department is looking for a man and woman accused of posing as friends of the victim's children.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — The Johns Creek Police Department is asking the public to help them identify a man and woman who are wanted in connection to a case of alleged financial elder abuse.

The two people in question allegedly "swindled" an elderly Johns Creek resident out of nearly $15,000 by posing as friends of his children, said Johns Creek police spokesperson Capt. Chris Byers.

The pair were captured on surveillance video leaving an area Walmart in late November after tricking the victim, who has dementia, into buying them a PlayStation 4 console, Byers added. They are believed to be traveling in a newer model Chevrolet Camaro.
