Deadline To Register For Citizens Police Academy is July 12

Johns Creek citizens can get a behind-the-scenes look at Johns Creek Police Department during the next Citizens Police Academy, which starts next month.

Registration for the initiative runs through Sunday, July 12.

The course, which can accommodate 20 students, will be held on Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 11 through Oct. 6, and includes classroom instruction (criminal investigations, internal affairs, narcotics, CSI, community services); demonstrations (K-9, SWAT, radKIDS®); and practical exercises (traffic enforcement and firearms simulation).

The Academy is open to all Johns Creek residents ages 21 and older who successfully pass the application process and a criminal history check.
