Horses Found Roaming Johns Creek Neighborhood, Returned To Owner
The Johns Creek Police caught and returned two horses roaming the Wellington subdivision on Wednesday, much to the delight of social media.
JOHNS CREEK, GA — The Johns Creek Police Department wasn't horsing around Wednesday when it returned two horses to their home after they escaped and wandered around a neighborhood.
The department wrote on Facebook that this was "not the usual found puppy" call.
This time we rounded up two horses around the Wellington subdivision," the department wrote. "Don't worry, we have returned them to the owner."

Officer M.D. Meberg said he "heard the call yesterday and starting hearing the 'Old Town Road' song in my head. These horses are local favorites for residents along Abbotts Bridge Road."
Meberg wasn't the only one who found delight with the new neighbors, a sight typically unseen in the Johns Creek suburbs.

Sara Desormeaux Bryan commented, "Awe... those are the Reynolds ponies. So sweet. Thanks for getting them home safe."
"Wellington is always open to new families of all types," Michael Heilman wrote.
Others commented they were happy the officers did not have to rescue the horses from a tree or storm drain, like they did earlier this summer with a kitten.
All in all, the community was happy about the good news.
"Glad they are back home," Cory Holz wrote. "I love seeing them on their usual spot on Reynolds Farm!"
