JOHNS CREEK, GA — Johns Creek residents are invited to provide input on the future of the combined Cauley Creek/Quail Hollow Park later this month. The input meeting will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 17 at the Johns Creek Police Department/Municipal Court headquarters at 11445 Johns Creek Parkway.

City staff will provide an overview of the latest proposed park design and will be available to answer questions. You can check out the concept plan for the park by clicking here. You can also provide your comments and feedback by visiting the city's website.

The future Cauley Creek/Quail Hollow Park is a 192-acre property located in the eastern half of Johns Creek along the Chattahoochee River and adjacent to the Rogers Bridge Trail.

The Johns Creek City Council in 2017 purchased 58 acres at Quail Hollow for $8.9 million. The Quail Hollow land was combined with the adjacent 133-acre Cauley Creek property, which was purchased in 2016, to form the largest city park in Johns Creek.

Both properties are located along the Chattahoochee River near the Abbotts Bridge Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. The city previously said the Quail Hollow purchase allows the city to develop a master plan that would incorporate both parcels into a unified park.

The Quail Hollow land is mostly wooded and lends itself to a mostly passive purpose, which provides an opportunity to address additional community needs and preserve greenspace. The purchase will provide the city the ability to further plan for a multi-use trail system along the Chattahoochee River.
