Johns Creek Council Member To Seek Re-Election
Stephanie Endres was first elected to the Post 5 in December 2015 to serve out the unexpired term of Kelly Stewart.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- Johns Creek City Council member Stephanie Endres has announced her plans to run for re-election to her first, four-year term.
Endres was first elected to the Post 5 seat in December 2015, which was vacated by Kelly Stewart when she launched her bid to run for the State House of Representatives.
“I kept my promises to reduce the millage rate, streamline business taxes, increase transparency of financial data, address traffic congestion and effectively advocate for the residents desire to preserve our premier residential bedroom community," Endres said in her press release.

Endres added she was instrumental in reducing the city's millage rate and led the city's efforts to call on the Fulton County Commission to rollback 2017 residential property assessments to the previous year's levels. She also said she worked to bring residents and city staff together for "better engagement and communication related to the individual resident concerns, neighborhood/HOA concerns and overall city wide issues."

“The campaign has strong volunteer support, is well funded and I am excited to start knocking on doors again," she continued. "The best part of the campaign is connecting with my neighbors."
A certified public accountant, Endres has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Florida State University. She and husband, Mark, are raising three children, and the family attends Saint Brigid Catholic Church.

Endres is currently the leader of Brownie Troop No. 15402, co-leader and treasurer of Junior Troop No.14454, volunteered with Cub Scout Troop 2143 and served on her HOA board of directors in previous years.

Qualifying for the city's elections will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21 through Wednesday, Aug. 23. Along with the Post 5 seat, the office of mayor and the Post 1 and Post 3 seats are all up for re-election.
Candidates can qualify in the office of the city clerk at Johns Creek City Hall, which is at 12000 Findley Road Suite 400. The qualifying fee is $450 for each council seat and $750 for the mayoral seat, which is 3 percent of the total gross salary for the preceding year.
