Johns Creek Fire To Host Citizens Academy
The upcoming 10-week session will start Feb. 21, 2017.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- Residents can get a detailed look at how their fire department operates when the Johns Creek Fire Department launches its next Citizens Fire Academy.
The upcoming academy will be kick off Feb. 21, 2017, and during the 10-week course, participants will learn about department operations, fire tactics and strategies and aspects of fire prevention and investigation techniques.
The academy meets Feb. 21, 28, March 11, 14, 21, April 1, 4, 11, 29 and May 2 and includes classroom instruction (equipment, fire prevention); demonstrations (CPR, investigation techniques); and practical exercises (fire ground training, emergency medical exercises).

The Citizens Fire Academy is open to Johns Creek residents or those who work in Johns Creek age 18 and older who successfully pass the application process and a criminal history check.
