- On Dec. 10, a man told Johns Creek Police that he had received text messages from an unidentified person threatening to kidnap his relative if he did not send money. Police told him that it could be a scam to get money. (Appen Media)
- The City of Johns Creek recently approved an ordinance to allow Personal Transportation Vehicles (PTVs/Golf Carts) on designated streets. It goes into effect on Jan. 1, click here to view the full ordinance. (City of Johns Creek via Twitter)
- Misdemeanor arrests in Johns Creek and Milton will now be sent to the recently reopened North Fulton Jail, located at 2565 Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta. The Johns Creek and Milton city councils recently approved an agreement with Alpharetta, Fulton County, and the Fulton County Sheriff to use the jail. Johns Creek and Milton will reimburse Alpharetta for a portion of the facility's utility costs as well as pay a $60 processing fee per inmate and a $60 holding fee for each day an inmate is detained to Fulton County. - A Fulton County deputy was found shot to death in the driver's seat of a car on a northwest Atlanta road. Yesterday, Dec. 29, police found a silver car with the deceased man inside after reports of shots fired at Bolton Road NW at Payton Road. As of Dec. 29, investigators have not released the deputy's name but said he was a young man who worked as a deputy at the Fulton County Sheriff's Office. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
