Both SafeWise and NeighborhoodScout have named the city to its respective lists.

Recognizing that smaller cities can't exactly be compared to more bustling places, ValuePenguin did break out its findings based upon populations. The company created three categories of cities: large (populations 25,000 or more), mid-size (10,000 to 25,000) and small (5,000 to 10,000).

When reviewing the data in that way, Johns Creek still comes out on top as the safest large place in the Peach State. For other large cities, Milton comes in second and is followed by Peachtree City, Kennesaw, Alpharetta, Duluth, Roswell, Woodstock, Sandy Springs and Brookhaven.
