Johns Creek Police To Host Drug Take-Back Event

The police department's event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 28, and allows you to drop off unused or unwanted prescription medications.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- If you have unwanted or unused prescription medications lingering in your cabinets, you may want to take advantage of the Johns Creek Police Department's initiative to keep these items out of improper circulation.

The agency will participate in the Drug Enforcement Agency's nationwide Drug Take-Back event on Saturday, Oct. 28. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., residents can drop off these items at Target at 5950 State Bridge Road.

The Drug Take-Back Day event aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts.
