Johns Creek Police Sergeant Wins First Place In CrossFit Games

Sgt. Ronnie Young participated in the 2017 World Police & Fire CrossFit Games held last week in Los Angeles.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- Sgt. Ronnie Young with the Johns Creek Police Department came in first place in the 2017 World Police & Fire CrossFit Games held last week the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The competition consisted of athletes from 65 countries, and the top 10 contestants in each discipline were invited to compete. The competition took place Aug. 14-15 where Young took first place in his age group.

"To be able to compete at this level with people who put their lives on the line for others every day was an honor (I) cannot put into words," he added in a statement provided by the police department.
