Coffee with a Cop provides a unique opportunity for residents and stakeholders to ask questions and learn more about the department’s work in the Johns Creek community.
The majority of contacts law enforcement has with the public happen during emergencies or emotional situations, which are not always the most effective time to build relationships with residents.
Coffee with a Cop breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction between the community and officers. Coffee with a Cop is a national initiative supported by the United States Department of Justice’s Office of Community Oriented Policing Services.
Local law enforcement agencies are hosting similar events in an attempt to make lasting connections with the communities they serve.
