Libraries, Cancer Group Get Funding Boost From Rotary Club

The Rotary Club of Johns Creek – North Fulton made the donations at the club's Nov. 18 meeting.

The Rotary Club of Johns Creek – North Fulton presented a $750 check to the Ocee and Northeast Spruill Oaks libraries as well as a $7,500 check to TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation at the club’s Nov. 18 meeting.

Each library will receive $375, which will be used to purchase books in honor of the club’s guest speakers. The club also presented a check to TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation for $7,500.

Those funds will help the organization assist women undergoing cancer treatments. The TurningPoint funds were raised during the club’s Southern Charms Fashion Show event held in October.

“We are thrilled to be able to support these deserving organizations,” said Ron Jones, president of the Rotary Club of Johns Creek – North Fulton. “The libraries and TurningPoint serve our community in many great ways and we are fortunate as a club to be able to assist them with these donations.”
