Man, 24, Injured In Hit-And-Run in Johns Creek

The victim was found bleeding in the gore area along State Bridge Road near the Gwinnett County line.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- Police are investigating an incident in which a Johns Creek man was found bleeding on the gore of a busy highway.

Officers were dispatched to a call around 6:37 a.m. Jan. 15 of report of a man found lying in the gore area at 5985 State Bridge Road.

Police arrived on the scene to find 24-year-old male lying in front of the strip center, which is close to the Gwinnett County line.

According to an incident report released by the Johns Creek Police Department, the victim had "severe lacerations" to both arms. Unfortunately at the time, he was unable to tell police what happened to him or how he got to where he was.

He was transported to North Fulton Hospital for treatment, the report indicates.

According to WSB-TV, the man's mother said her son was the victim of a hit-and-run, and was left to die on the side of the road. The station notes the victim had to undergo several surgeries and his right arm suffered severe damage stemming from the collision.
