The chase started when the suspect’s vehicle was traveling southbound on Medlock Bridge Road/S.R. 141 -- which turns into Peachtree Parkway in Gwinnett -- when it failed to yield to Johns Creek police, the Gwinnett County Police Department previously said.
The chase crossed over into Peachtree Corners and as the car approached Peachtree Parkway’s intersection with Jay Bird Alley, it crashed into another vehicle, killing the Krawczynskis.
Thomas's 18-year-old son, Jesse Cole Thomas, was in the car with him and suffered a broken collarbone, police said.
Before last week's indictments, Thomas already faced charges of DUI, two counts of vehicular homicide, trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking morphine, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of LSD and possessing a handgun during commission of a felony.
The younger Thomas is charged with trafficking meth, trafficking morphine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of LSD, possession of cocaine, possession of a gun during the commission of a felony.
