Northview High School Student Hit By Car

Johns Creek, GA -- A Northview High School student was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning in Johns Creek.

The student, who was trying to cross Abbotts Bridge Road without using a crosswalk, was hit by a vehicle near the school, the Johns Creek Police Department said on its Facebook page.

The student was not seriously injured, but was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Johns Creek police say the are “multiple signs” along Abbotts Bridge Road between Abbotts Mill Drive and Glennbarr Drive that indicate no crossing should take place in those areas.

Those signs also have arrows that point in the direction to the nearest crosswalk, which the agency said is at the controlled intersection in front of the school.
