Registration Now Open For Citizens Police Academy
The course is open to Johns Creek residents and will run Aug. 11 through Oct. 6.

Starting in August, Johns Creek citizens can get a behind-the-scenes look at Johns Creek Police Department during the next Citizens Police Academy.

Registration is now open and runs through July 12 for the course, which will be held Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 11 through Oct. 6.
The course includes classroom instruction (criminal investigations, internal affairs, narcotics, CSI, Community Services), demonstrations (K-9, SWAT, radKIDS®) and practical exercises (traffic enforcement and firearms simulation).

The class can accommodate 20 people. The Academy is open to all Johns Creek residents ages 21 and older who successfully pass the application process and a criminal history check.
