Thief Shatters Car Window, Takes Leather Bag: Cops

The Johns Creek Police Department said the entering auto was reported on Thursday, Jan. 4 at Newtown Park.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — The Johns Creek Police Department is working to identify a man accused of breaking into a vehicle last week at Newtown Park.

Around 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, surveillance video captured at the park at 3150 Old Alabama Road shows a man approach a vehicle and shatter its front passenger side window, the police department said on its Facebook page.

After breaking into the car, the subject is seen reaching into the vehicle and taking a leather tote, the police department added.

Police say the man enters and leaves the park driving a black 2015 Infiniti Q50. He was wearing a black ski mask and white hooded sweatshirt. No other identifying information about the subject has been obtained at this time, the agency notes.
