Weather permitting, the shift and closure is slated to start Wednesday, Oct. 28, and will require the closure of one lane on the existing bridge so crews can install a temporary alternating signal for staging.

This lane closure will end on Wednesday, Nov. 4, GDOT estimates.

On that same day, traffic will shift onto one lane of the new Bell Road Bridge so crews can demolish the existing bridge and construct stage two of the new bridge.

Weather permitting, this closure will remain in place until Friday, April 1, 2016.

Motorists who travel in the area are advised to slow down and proceed with caution through this area, as workers and heavy equipment will be in close proximity to the roadway.

This will only be a one-lane bridge with an alternating signal from Wednesday, Oct. 28 to Friday, April 1, 2016.
